PrePaid Meter Program

PEC offers a PrePaid Meter Program to customers wanting to pre-pay for electricity. PrePaid Meter customers may check their account balance daily through PECís automated balance inquiry line or through SmartHub. In addition, these customers can elect to receive an automated phone call, email or text once their account balance reaches $20.00 or below, or below an amount established by them.

Should a PrePaid account balance drop below $0.00 (no longer have a credit) the account is automatically disconnected from the office. Once funds are posted to bring the account back to a credit, the service is automatically reconnected. No meter deposit or cosigner is required for customers participating in the PrePaid Meter Program, making it a popular option for those applying for electric service.
