PEC is proud to announce its two student delegates selected to attend the 2025 Energy Camp, hosted by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC). This four-day summer camp will take place May 27–30 at Canyon Camp near Hinton, Oklahoma, and offers students a unique opportunity to explore leadership, teamwork, and the cooperative business model—all while enjoying classic camp activities and exciting hands-on learning experiences.
This year, PEC is sponsoring two outstanding eighth-grade students from its service area to represent the cooperative at camp: Timothy Allison of Calvin Public School and Samantha Davison, a homeschool student from Ada.
Meet Timothy Allison
Timothy is an eighth grader at Calvin Public School, where he participates in basketball, baseball, track, and cross country. He enjoys staying active and being involved in school athletics. Timothy is looking forward to attending Energy Camp to build his leadership skills and learn more about how electric cooperatives serve their communities.
Meet Samantha Davison
Samantha is an eighth-grade homeschool student from Ada with a wide range of interests. She enjoys archery, running, participating in her church community, and volunteering at the local animal shelter walking dogs. In her free time, Samantha loves reading fantasy, World War II, history, and science fiction books. She also enjoys sewing, gardening, swimming, and spending time outdoors. Samantha is excited to attend Energy Camp to explore leadership and science through hands-on learning.
At Energy Camp, students will have the chance to climb a utility pole using lineworker gear, ride in a bucket truck, operate a student-run co-op, and participate in team-building exercises that promote leadership and collaboration. Campers also get to connect with other students from across Oklahoma, forming lasting friendships in a fun and educational environment.
PEC congratulates Timothy and Samantha on their selection and looks forward to the exciting experiences and personal growth they’ll gain through this one-of-a-kind opportunity.
