PEC is proud to announce its three student delegates selected to attend the 2026 Energy Camp, hosted by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC). This four-day summer camp will take place May 26–28 at Canyon Camp near Hinton, Oklahoma, and offers students a unique opportunity to explore leadership, teamwork, and the cooperative business model—all while enjoying classic camp activities and exciting hands-on learning experiences.
This year, PEC is sponsoring three outstanding eighth-grade students from its service area to represent the cooperative at camp: Landon Booth, Brody Hinkle and Easton Schreiber of Vanoss Public School.
Meet Landon Booth
Landon is an eighth grader at Vanoss School who enjoys both academics and athletics, especially basketball. In his free time, he likes bowling, playing Xbox, and spending time with friends and family. Landon is excited to attend Energy Camp and looks forward to learning new things and gaining new experiences.
Meet Brody Hinkle 
Brody is an eighth grader at Vanoss Middle School, where he participates in basketball, baseball, student council, and the academic team. He is also an active youth member at TrueLife Church. Outside of school, Brody enjoys spending time outdoors with his cousins. He is looking forward to attending Energy Camp to learn more about leadership and how electric cooperatives serve their communities.
Meet Easton Schreiber
Easton is an eighth grader at Vanoss School, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA and stays involved in activities like academic bowl and shooting sports. In his free time, he enjoys playing Pokémon and video games. Easton hopes to become an electrician and own his own business one day. He is excited to attend Energy Camp to learn more about the trade and gain hands-on experience.
At Energy Camp, students will have the chance to climb a utility pole using lineworker gear, ride in a bucket truck, operate a student-run co-op, and participate in team-building exercises that promote leadership and collaboration. Campers also get to connect with other students from across Oklahoma, forming lasting friendships in a fun and educational environment.
PEC congratulates Landon, Brody and Easton on their selection and looks forward to the exciting experiences and personal growth they’ll gain through this one-of-a-kind opportunity.
