The new year is officially here, and with it come a few updates designed to make managing your electric account easier, clearer, and more convenient. As we step into 2026, PEC is rolling out improvements that put simplicity first, starting with your billing schedule.
New Year, New Due Dates (Starting Now!)
January brings your first change of the year: updated billing due dates are now in effect. These updates are designed to make managing your account easier and give you a little extra time and flexibility each month:
- Standard bills: Beginning January 1, 2026, payments will be due on the 20th of each month.
- Delay Pay: Still just a $15 sign-up fee, Delay Pay payments will be due on the 10th of the following month, beginning January 1, 2026.
- Bank Draft (Sure BET): Choose to have your payment made automatically on the 10th or 20th of each month.

And Coming Next Month: Your New Bill Design
February will bring another bright spot to the new year: a refreshed PEC bill with a cleaner, clearer design.

- A clear energy-use graph showing trends and comparisons
- Quick access to contact info and payment options right on the front
- A detailed breakdown of charges and usage on the back
