Annual Meeting of the Members

Saturday, September 24 at the Pontotoc County Agri-plex

People's Electric Cooperative (PEC)’s Annual Meeting is all set for Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex in Ada. Commonly referred to as “PEC Day,” it is easily the most important day of the year for the cooperative. “We couldn’t be more excited to bring PEC Day to our members and the communities we serve this year. From excellent food and beautiful crafts to free live entertainment and kids’ activities, along with prize drawings including a $1,000 giveaway, few family-oriented events come along like PEC Day that are open to the public,” said Kevin Wood, CEO and Executive Vice President.

Registration Gifts

Mini portable surge protectorRegistration cards will appear in this year’s annual meeting program that will arrive in your mailbox during September. Bring it with you to the annual meeting to be registered in all the day’s prize drawings including the $1,000 grand prize giveaway (must be present to win). The first 3,000 members to register will receive a Pro Glo Surge strip that includes three outlets and two USB ports, along with a triplex 3-in-1 light-up charging cable.

Drive Thru Registration

PEC day goers should be aware that again this year PEC’s registration will be drive-thru only to help avoid and alleviate the crowd at the entrance of the Big Red Barn.

“All PEC Day traffic will enter from the westbound lane of Lonnie Abbott Boulevard,” said Wood.

After presenting an annual meeting program and receiving the registration gifts, 2 options will be available at the drive-thru registration: 1) park your car and stay to enjoy the entertainment and craft and food vendors; or 2) simply ‘drive-thru’ and continue on around the Agri-Plex to the Exit on North Broadway Avenue.

To further simplify registration, the capital credit checks that we made available for members to pick up at annual meeting (prior to Covid) will be mailed again this year,” Wood added. “Checks should arrive in members’ mailboxes by mid-September.”

Free Activities

This year we will have pony rides, the Kraken inflatable slide and the Boomerang and Pirate’s Revenge carnival rides and giant trikes for kids to enjoy free of charge! We will also have Sergeant Yokley with the State of Oklahoma Highway Safety Office.
