Your personal invitation to PEC’s 86th Annual Meeting of the Members should be arriving soon in your mailbox and we look forward to seeing you!
This highly anticipated yearly event, commonly referred to as “PEC Day,” will be held at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex, located at the corner of J.A. Richardson Loop and Broadway in Ada on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Don’t forget to bring cash for crafts, as some vendors might only accept cash payments. But fear not, there are plenty of FREE activities to enjoy, including live music, amusement rides, pony rides, and a petting zoo. Also, indulge in free cotton candy and popcorn while you’re at it!
Annual Meeting Program
As soon as you receive your program (shown at right), be sure to keep it so you can present it to registration workers at the meeting. Registration will open at 9 AM and will close at 12:35 PM. Your event program, arriving soon, is your ticket to prizes. Don’t forget to hang onto your program after you register through the drive-thru. You’ll need it to claim any prizes drawn inside the Big Red Barn.
Registration
To streamline your experience, registration will take place from your vehicle upon your entry to the Agri-Plex parking area, making it super easy for everyone. Enter from the westbound lane of J A Richardson Loop and use the exits on North Broadway Avenue – no entry from North Broadway Avenue.
Once you’ve registered and received your gift, stay and immerse yourself in the fun! Park your car and dive into all the excitement – enjoy live entertainment, free amusement rides, and pony rides. You Get the Credit
For your convenience, cost savings and added protection, your capital credit retirement, previously provided through a check and sent by US mail, will now be applied as a bill credit on this month’s September statement. Traditionally, you received capital credits in the form of physical checks, requiring additional steps such as depositing or cashing them. However, recognizing the evolving needs and preferences of our membership, the majority of this year’s capital credits will be issued as a bill credit to your bill. PEC Day Food Court
An array of delicious food choices will be available in the Food Court area located south and inside of the Convention Center. The Food Court area will include outdoor tent seating, or you can sit down and eat inside the air-conditioned Convention Center. Food trucks that have registered to attend (at the time this newsletter was sent to print) include the following:
- Fry Bread Express -- Indian tacos, charbroiled bison and sirloin burgers (fry bread burgers), rez dogs, fire dogs, walking taco, foot long corndog, chicken fried steak sandwich, fry bread sugar bites, oreo or strawberry beaver trailer and cotton candy 241400501
- Iceytunes Icecream – Novelty ice cream, pickles, pickle kits and takes
- Nothing Bundt Cakes – Individual bundt cakes in a variety of sizes
- P5 Burger Barn - Burgers, fries, pulled pork and fried pies
- Poe Prepping - Jerk chicken and vegetables, loaded, baked potatoes, quesadillas, chicken fajita bowl, philly cheesesteak bowl, buffalo chicken salad and fruit cups
- Shields Family Tacos – Indian tacos, lemonade and tea
- Sue’s Chicken Salad – Cinnamon rolls, muffins, coffee, sweet tea, lunch box with chicken salad croissant, chips and cookie
Registration & Prizes
The first 2,000 members through to register will receive a portable rechargeable LED work light (shown at right). A grand prize drawing for $1,000 will be held at the end of the business meeting, and you must be present to win!
