Not many groups can say that they have a music history that spans over 50 years, but Highway 96 is on the scene and ready to take you on a musical road trip! Some of their favorite memories go hand in hand with summer road trips and weekends cruising main. Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, and right smack dab on Route 66 in Oklahoma, they bring a unique blend of artsy, eclectic, and just plain good old-fashioned harmony singing to the table. 921600400
Join Highway 96 for a high energy trip down memory lane. Laugh, dance, and sing along to everything from 90’s country to doo wop, and from gospel to rock and roll; this will be a fun trip for the whole family! 2 performances are scheduled inside the Big Red Barn at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex in Ada on Saturday, September 30. The first performance will happen at 9:50 am and a second and final performance will happen at 11:50 am.
Southern Sonlight
Southern SONlight is a gospel group that travels and sings throughout the region representing The Gospel Station Network. Southern Sonlight has recorded several CD’s that feature popular Southern Gospel songs. Randall Christy is the pastor of the Union Valley Baptist Chruch where he and his wife Susie have been for 36 years. The group includes Randall Christy, Randi Hall and Sharla and David Frederick.
Ric Hinson
At the age of 9, Ric Hinson’s life in Ada, OK, consisted of learning and performing his family’s songs. The Calvin Hinson Family started touring in 1975. Traveling across Oklahoma and many states, they played what Ric calls, “The Album Behind Them,” referring to his family’s award-winning Southern Gospel legacy known as The Original Hinsons. As an alumni from Ada High School. Ric’s music and style are a combination of his southern gospel roots, a resounding echo of his family’s storytelling with a distinctive country sound steeped in rhythms of soul.
